We are growing!

Are you a piano technician with an interest in developing skills in others as well as your own?

The Piano Technology School has an opportunity for a freelance, part-time workshop training assistant, to join our successful training program in it’s fifth year, starting in September 2019.

The role is to train basic workshop skills to a small number of trainee piano technicians as part of their integrated introduction to Piano Technology Course and is based in Northampton. Required up to 3 days per week over a 30 week academic year with associated holidays.

Skills to be taught are those based on The Piano Forte Association test.

No previous teaching experience is necessary, but applicants should be confident with basic workshop skills and enjoy the challenge of training the next generation of Piano technicians.

There is also an opportunity to develop your own tuning and technical skills and relevant training will be provided.

This role would suit either an experienced technician who would like a new challenge, or perhaps a newly trained technician, who would like the benefit of gaining more useful workshop experience, while building a tuning round or business of their own.
